WHO AM I?
I am Monica Queiroz, a Brazilian that immigrated to Canada almost 20 years ago. I am a mother of 3 wonderful young adults and 3 furry pets. I am in a committed relationship of 15 years and I live between Canada and Mexico. I love the sun, the beach, a cup of warm lemon and ginger tea and connecting with people around the world. I am mystic and in my free time I love to learn about Spirituality, Crystals, the wisdom of Tarot and Oracle decks and energy healing modalities.
I am passionate about living life with joy, purpose and gratitude. WHAT ARE MY CREDENTIALS?
I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, Registered with ACCT- Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada. I am also trained in many therapeutic modalities, such as Narrative Therapy, Family Constellations, Trauma Informed, Compassionate Inquiry, Bowen Systems Therapy, Hypnosis and NLP- Neuro Linguistic Programming. These methodologies provide me with a solid foundation to help clients in many different areas, such as overcome relationship issues, improve the quality of their lives, improve their relationships, overcome depression, deal with anxiety, navigate through life transitions (divorce, marriage, birth of a child, loss of a loved one), find self worth, reduce their stress and deal with losses and grief.
I offer my clients a safe space for them to explore unexpressed deep emotions, understand repetitive life’s patterns, develop awareness and peace. Part of my gift to my clients is my ability to find the root cause to their afflictions. Once the cause is clear, I help them find different meanings to the experiences they have lived which usually leads to relief and change in their lives. Another important aspect, I usually explore in sessions is family of origin history. We are connected human beings. As such, our families history impacts us. By examining at clients past, they can better understand their present dilemmas and shape a different future.
